My roommate and girlfriend both have their own cats that probably get bored when they're not home. I want to make a fake mouse that will zoom around, and (hopefully) provide them with an engaging experience of chasing it. The components include an Arduino Nano microcontroller, some DC motors with a L298N driver, an HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor, and some batteries to power the whole thing.
This is my first project involving hardware, so please bare with me as I will likely take an approach that is unorthodox or just plain incorrect. I might say some things that are just plain incorrect, so by no means would I recommend that anyone rely on this as a definitve educational source. This is just for fun, and I hope to learn a lot.
Here is a comprehensive list of each electronic part and its operating voltage:
Apparently, this means that I can get away with using 6 AA batteries, which supply between ~7V and 9V.
I'm currently waiting for all of the parts to ship. Once they arrive, I will update.
